Role: Game Designer/ Level Designer
My main roles for this project were game and level designer, However, because of the time limit of the game jam, I covered as many other roles as possible to finish the game in time. For this purpose, after creating the initial concept, I started sketching levels, creating UI and sound effects, designing the levels and puzzles, and also writing the endings.
Challenges:
This project was designed and developed in 48 hours. The main challenge was to design a solid concept that is both engaging and meaningful in the first few hours. For this purpose, I took inspiration from old photo albums and came up with the concept of telling a story through changing memories of a man. The next challenge was to create different results based on the player’s choices and to change the character’s timeline each time. To solve this, The game has six different levels each representing a stage of his life, by adding different objects to the pictures, a new memory would be shaped in his life, resulting in a new character at the end. The game now has more than 120 endings, showing a different tombstone each time.
